🏆 | AWARDS AND RANKINGS
⏱️ Ranking Basis: Rankings are determined by the total number of completed laps plus the extra distance (meters) covered. When time expires (at the final signal), all runners must stop exactly where they are. The extra distance covered after the last full lap will be measured to finalize the total result.
🥇 Trophy: The top three overall finishers in the general classification will be awarded a trophy.
🏆 Top 10 Special Recognition: Runners finishing in the Top 10 will be invited to the podium to be honored with a special recognition award for their achievement.
🏅 Finisher Recognition: Every participant who successfully completes the race will receive a special finisher memento in recognition of their effort. In line with the spirit of this series, a unique commemorative item will be presented instead of a standard medal or printed certificate.
🤝 Equal Opportunity: There are no separate gender or age categories; all runners compete together in a single General Classification.
🏆 | 2026 CHAMPIONSHIP SCORING SYSTEM
The 2026 Zaman Koşusu Series Champion is determined by the total performance across four cities: İzmir, Ankara, Fethiye, and Antalya.
Scoring Rules:
- Every Rank Matters: Points are awarded to every runner finishing in the top 40 of their category.
- Consistency Wins: The system rewards loyalty. For example, a runner finishing 14th in two races (52 pts) will outrank a one-time winner (50 pts) in the overall standings.
- Tie-Breaker: In case of a points tie, the total distance (kilometers) covered across all cities will determine the winner.

How Does It Work? (Example Scenarios)
Let’s look at 3 different runner profiles after all 4 cities:
1. Ahmet (The Fast One-Timer) Ahmet is very fast but only participated in the İzmir race, where he took 1st place.
- İzmir: 50 Points
- Other cities: Did not start (0 Points)
- TOTAL: 50 POINTS
2. Mustafa (The Competitive Mid-Grouper) Mustafa is not a pro, but he follows the series. He ran in Ankara and Fethiye, finishing 14th in both.
- Ankara: 26 Points
- Fethiye: 26 Points
- TOTAL: 52 POINTS
- Result: Mustafa outranks Ahmet in the championship standings!
3. Elif (The Series Star / Icon of Consistency) Elif isn't an elite athlete, but she loves traveling for the races. She participated in all 4 cities, finishing between 20th and 25th place.
- İzmir (24th): 16 Points
- Ankara (22nd): 18 Points
- Fethiye (25th): 15 Points
- Antalya (21st): 19 Points

What Do We Learn?
- Ahmet: Must join at least 2 or 3 races if he wants the Championship title.
- Mustafa: Should keep going; every single point brings him closer to the top.
- Elif: By showing up for every city, she can create miracles in the overall rankings!
